PRESIDENT’S UPDATE (given by Dennis Harley)

- Club membership fees are now due ($40/member); this fee represents the annual membership to the Edelweiss Club. All accordion club members are encouraged to pay their membership, as a requirement in order for the VAC to continue to use the good facilities at the Edelweiss Club for no monthly rent.

- Schnitzel night Feb 2^nd at Edelweiss Club – Sam Iseli played the music; good attendance.

- Schlachtfest night Feb 4^th at Edelweiss Club – Ron Sera played the music; sparse attendance due to stormy conditions.

OLD BUSINESS

Summerfest 2006 - after some discussion, it was agreed that the club would not pursue a beerfest/summerfest this year. Instead we'll look into possible dates for Spring 2007.

Bernadette Conlon concert: Members agreed that we would not go ahead with another concert by Bernadette in July.

Schnitzel nights – Volunteers are needed for March, April, May (first Thursday of each month) at the Edelweiss Club.

Edelweiss Club annual meeting – to be held March 19^th.

NEW BUSINESS

Elections were held for 2006-07. The new management team is:

President – Dennis Harley

Vice President – Patty Forman

Treasurer - Ron Sera

Secretary - Mary Ross, assisted by Monica Trautmann

Band Representative - Patty Forman, assisted by Gerhard Herndler

Edelweiss Club liaison – John Fear

Door greeter and money collection - Irmgard Hildenbrand

Food and Beverages – John Fear

Facilities (hall setup) – Stan Czemerynski, John Fear

Muffins (for monthly meetings) – Martin Hergt

Webmaster – Ron Sera

Phone representatives - Lorraine Munro (confirm); need another volunteer.

Club positions: each position is encouraged to have another club member act as “assistant” to help for an orderly transition to a new club executive/management team for the following year. Members will be approached during the year to act in the assistant role.
